Telegraaf Media Groep

The Telegraaf Media Groep N.V. (TMG) () is a Dutch media and publishing company. It is active in the newspaper, magazine, and Internet market.
TMG holds small interests in ProSiebenSat.1 Media and Algemeen Nederlands Persbureau.
''De Telegraaf'', the most popular newspaper in the Netherlands, is its flagship publication. It is considered to be a populist paper. Between 1999 and 2014, it published the free daily newspaper ''Spits''. In 2012, it acquired the free daily newspaper ''Metro''.
TMG acquired the popular weblog GeenStijl (after initially buying an interest) and Hyves, at that time still the most popular social network site in the Netherlands.
TMG was formerly known as the ''NV Holdingmaatschappij De Telegraaf''.
==Finances==
Profits for 2005 were €65.4 million and the company had a market cap of €1.1 billion (May 2006).
In 2011, the group posted a loss of €32.6 million due in large part to declining ad revenue in the company's printed media. A plan announced in 2010 called for cutting 350 of 2800 jobs. Internet activities gained the group nearly €70 million, 12% of the company's total revenue; internet ad revenue was up 35% compared to 2010.
